It’s Thursday, June 4th and we are officially less than 2 weeks away from our Africa trip. So much has gone into planning this trip and it seemed like it was never going to get here, but, it finally has. Here are a few things that each of us had to do to get ready to go: Each of us had to get 6 shots (Polio Vaccine, Tetanus Vaccine, Hepatitis A & B Vaccine, Typhoid Vaccine and finally the Meningococcal Vaccine), get passports and visas, register with the US Embassy in Lusaka, Zambia, raise $2,700.00 per person, attend a meeting/training every other week for 2 & ½ months, gather materials and supplies that we are taking over with us, prepare mentally, emotionally, physically and most of all, spiritually and then finally get excited to be used in a BIG way for God’s glory. The organization that we are working with is called Action Zambia. This is the same organization that the previous teams went and worked with and the one that George Ripley’s brother Glenn was a part of. Please begin to pray for our team as we are tying up loose strings before our departure on the 16th of this month. I will try to post something everyday until we leave and while we are in Zambia, so check this blog everyday to see what’s going on. Lastly, don’t forget to pick up one of our prayer cards in the atrium this Sunday. God bless you as you pray with us and support us on this ever important trip. Sean
